A little bit about Tonyous Zee
Tonyous Zee. A misunderstood crazy bastard from Nottinghamshire, UK. Honest but occasionally tactless, wants good from the world but hasn't got the power to sort it out, and unfortunately had a family so can't spend more time on this website, or play games, or eat donuts, or take a dump in peace, as much as he'd like.
Married with two children, has a nice house, a good job, and too many hobbies to fit in a lifetime. Loves board games, not so much video games these days because the prices take the piss and online is full of trolls who think Twitch is a job and pranking videos are real.
Tony's history in the games world has included being a Teletext Games Reviewer and UK Tetris champion. Also had a few star letters in games magazines over the years. Since moving on to full time board games, Tony entered official UK championships in 2019 at Catan, Kingdomino and Carcassonne, and done completely shit at all of them! At the UK Games Expo in 2022, he got 4th at Azul and 6th in 4-player Carcassonne. In 2023, did crap again at most games but managed 6th place at the Hive UK Championships which was a lot better than expected. Maverick also entered and became the youngest competitor, also grabbing a win and a draw out of the 6 games played. Everyone is very proud of him.
YouTube has been a huge part of Tony's life in the past and over the years accumulated around 4 million views. Main things were making media about cosplay, manga, anime, video games, a lot of random stuff and blogs. He did a lot at the MCM London Expo / Comic Con events from 2007 to 2015 filming cosplay masquerades. Unfortunately, when you retire from doing that and not filming people, they forget you exist. What a fickle world.
From February 2017, Tony created Game Day. His board game collection grew and arranged meets with friends and family, creating perler awards for everyone who won. This all stopped when Covid-19 ruined the planet, and a couple of other gaming ideas came along up until the end of 2021 but it wasn't the same. At the beginning of 2022, Tabletop Game Day started with a lot of new ideas, including online board gaming via Twitch, and the perler awards made a welcome return.
From January 2022, Tony made a come back refreshing his online presence as Tonyous Zee. Lots of plans such as eventually publishing a board game and book. Could have happened a while ago if not for being a very busy parent. From January 2024, he deleted almost everything online as a family request to keep the kids off the net set in, and a couple of months later, Tonyous Zee made a return with new social medias and lots of videos, also playing Stumble Guys as the main factor on Twitch.
This is all very casual and nothing hugely serious. No pressure, just fun, and making new friends and enjoying making new memories.
